My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!
It’s fun to be out in the rain — especially a nice, well-behaved rain like this one. Those are cute little mushrooms, and you’ve got your own wonderful ‘greens’ all around!
We like walking around in the rain with our umbrellas and looking for puddles! Usually, we see a few snails that need to be moved for safety, but none were found yesterday.
I thought we’d find more mushrooms, but that’s all we saw. Lately, I’ve been seeing posts where people find tiny mushrooms and I wish I could find some of those.
You’re right…after I read your post yesterday, I realized that we have some green flowers too. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, my fellow nature friend!!
I love a drippy rain day with puddles. Your kids look like they are enjoying the excursion outside. (hope you don’t get all the flooding I’ve been hearing about) Take care <3

Love rainy days…
Same here! It’s good to be inside and hear the rain.
Soothing, calming the soul!

Just occasionally we have one of those.
Occasional is good…too much of it can be troublesome!!
Weather for ducks! I hope it stops soon – good for lawns and flowers, but not when it is destructive like this.
I’m so done with winter this year. I know you are too! We are all patiently waiting for spring and warmer weather. I hope we all get healthy soon!
