updated news: Ellis has bronchitis and will be on antibiotics for the next 5 days. I’m coughing up a storm too. This morning I had a major physical meltdown, and it’s probably from the stress of Ellis throwing up here and there since Monday. My little girl’s high maintenance condition puts me and Chris on the edge. Last night, we were talking and assessing her condition, consoling ourselves that her last throw up was a random one and not a trigger for cyclic vomiting. Then, at 2:00 a.m. she vomits again. Inner stress: high. Outer appearance: smiles.
Elliot was sick last week, and this week, it’s Ellis’ turn. They are taking turns and passing it onto me in the process. When I cough, my head hurts but it feels like my skull is ringing.
We’re at the pediatrician’s office right now for Ellis. Waiting to be seen. She got swabbed for Covid, rsv, and the flu.
We need a break from this horrendous coughing and wheezing.
I hope you are all staying well and healthy!

Oh no, Esther! Sorry to hear that! The winter doesn’t want to go yet. I had three months of allergies. The medication helped to give me a break but I started the runny nose and coughing again three days ago.
I think the warmer weather is coming and it should help. Hang in there.
Oh no, you got all the symptoms of a cold too, but for allergies! I’m sorry. Hope the medication works efficiently and you don’t have to suffer.
I’ve never been so expectant for spring weather like this winter! lol
Thank you, Esther. I’ll have an allergy test soon.
Yes, getting allergy tested would be good to avoid the triggers!
I think so, Esther!
Wishing you the best with the allergy tests!!
Thanks!
Sending prayers for healing ❤️🩹
Thanks, friend! Have you guys been spared the seasonal cold and things?
All the hugs! My kids have been sick for the last week as well. Hoping we’re done soon!
I hear you, Launa! It’s so rough when the kids are sick and then you catch something from them.
I hope your kids are on the mend now.
Hugs back at you. Thank you and take care!
Unbelievable! Get well soon.
Thank you, Jo. We’re working on it!! I can’t believe how we have been besieged with colds/ bronchitis/ pink eyes the past few weeks.
Hope you are well!
Still got that 100 day cough but fine apart from that. Out and about as usual. Poor you! Your immune systems are under attack.
You said it perfectly: our “immune systems are under attack.” We have got to get the upper hand in this and be cough free.
I’m glad you’re out and about as usual, but that 100 day cough doesn’t sound pleasant either.
😯☹️
Please take care
Sending some positive vibes to you 4 😍🤗
Thanks, D! Positive vibes received and sending some back to you. 🙂
I am so sorry for what you have to go through day in and day out. I can’t imagine the stress and pain it causes you.
Thank you, Cee! It is stressful and overwhelming. There are moments when I’m speechless and clueless as what I should do. But we pull through and try to make the best of our situation. God is good!
You need a break from it all – a sunny stretch of days to get out and feel the warm sun on your face … something to cure all ills. I’ve been taking cod liver oil since I was a kid. Back in Canada, my mom bought cod liver malt and she dip the spoon in and twirl it around to have with breakfast … it was a little thicker than honey, but did not taste good. I’ve taken the cod liver oil pills for year – now have to order them from Amazon as the store doesn’t sell them. It has Vitamin A and D vitamins if you don’t get enough sun in Wintertime. I take it year around though.
Wow, cod liver malt! Cold liver pills sound more palatable. I never tried. I’m taking iron pills and vitamin D.
I surely do need a break from all the seasonal sickness. But I’m grateful that it’s not the cyclic vomiting, which takes us into the ER and hospital terrain. Somehow, Ellis does better with respiratory issues, especially when she fared the best with Covid when we all had it.
The malt was not wonderful and I can remember grimacing before I swallowed it – ugh. The pills are large but they do not taste fishy in the least. I take two daily all year around – they do have these in the healthfood store as I bought them there after CVS and the grocery store, which has seemingly thousands of bottles of vitamins, quit selling them. I only take them and a multiple vitamin. The ones I buy are: “Carlson Cod Liver Oil Gems 460 mg Omega 3s + Vitamin A and D3”.
Your comment reminded me of the Omega vitamins I used to take and I’d have the fish aftertaste. It was bearable a few times, but the taste was annoying after a while. I stopped.
It’s a relief your cod liver oil pills are not fishy tasting! When you find a vitamin that works, stick with it.
Yes, I wouldn’t like the fishy taste at all. These are fairly big gel tabs but if you swallow them whole, no icky aftertaste. I agree about that Esther.
