sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

not my car’s sticker but I could relate. lol

That looks like it could have come from a Grateful Dead album cover: particularly, their Skeletons From the Closet! You’ve sure been on a long, strange trip of your own!

Maybe?! I see the connection with the skeleton and the rose except this sticker is rocking a hairstyle.
Boy, you said that accurately: it’s been a “long, strange trip” from one thing to the next. Yesterday my mind seemed like a big blur: started with me not being able to find my misplaced keys, getting violently sick in the morning from stomach cramps, taking Ellis to the doctor, and then relaxing at night with the family. So much fluctuations in a day. See, I need my coffee!

Ha ha – yes, what would we do without coffee in our lives, though I can remember in college, staying up late to write/type a term paper or studying into the wee hours, I would drink coffee and it would not keep me back then. Now I cut off caffeine by mid-day.

Coffee is essential! Do you know that I only drank iced tea when I was a college and graduate student in CA? I used to go to Diedrich’s coffee and they always had brewed iced tea. But when I moved to nyc, iced tea was a rarity. When I would order one, the person would stick a bag of Lipton tea bag in hot water and give me a cup of ice. It tasted horrible. I needed my caffeine fix and Starbucks was on almost every corner. So I started drinking iced coffee. It wasn’t my first choice. I don’t like hot coffee, but if that’s all there is, then I’ll have a cup or so.
You are smart to cut caffeine by mid-day! Do you have a specific brand or brew you prefer?

You know Esther I have never had iced tea made from scratch – Arizona iced tea, but that’s about all. The Lipton hot tea with ice cubes sounds like a disaster. We had a Starbucks in our office building before my boss/I moved from the Firm out on our own. I liked their dark brews and drank it black, except Sumatra which I found a little too earthy. When we moved, there was no Starbucks, so we bought Caribou brand beans and ground and brewed it in the office. Now I just drink instant coffee as it’s just me and a flavored powdered creamer. I like Nescafe or Taster’s Choice French Road, both which are dark roasts which I like. I no longer drink it black. So, you might like a product I saw advertised today by my grocery store. I read the comments and it was around awhile ago, then discontinued and now revived. It’s by International Delight Liquid Creamer and called “Cold Foam Creamer” and can be used in cold coffee or hot coffee. It comes in Vanilla, Carmel Macchiato and Sweet and Creamy. They looked good, just use it like you would whipped cream in a can.
