My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

wonderful okays peeka boo.
Very nice written quote.
Thank you, Raj!
Most welcome, Eshter!
How you & Elliot?
Those big eyes!!
Yes, Dart has those big eyes and a permanent smile! Kids want to weigh him but I’m not allowing them to weigh him on our kitchen scale. lol
You need different scale 😛
Why weigh him tho??
Maybe a math lesson?! I could put a parchment paper under him and weigh him on top of that. But really, I’m just too lazy to think about weighing him. lol
You need a seperate plate to weigh him
And see the progress
Minus the weight of plate
Oh my god! The quote about Weekends really hit hard!
And the picture is cute! Dart looks almost innocent! 😁
Thank you! Dart is a funny gecko and it’s helpful that he stays still for pictures. I think it’s gecko’s nature to stay in one position motionless for a while.
Yes, the weekend quote hits home. Weekends come and go quickly. Hope you had a good one!!
I swear I never thought I’d meet a reptile who could be so expressive. That face is a kick!
Thank you!! We picked a photogenic gecko from PetSmart and he seems to like the attention.
DWA? (Dart with Attitude)
DWA who loves attention and mealworms!
QT!
Thank you!
Hehe such a cutie!
Thank you!
You’re very welcome!
Love his smile! Such a happy fellow.
We love how geckos have a permanent smile!
These days he spends most of his days next to the heater and by his rock garden. Yesterday he finally did a poop, and we all clapped for him. lol. Maybe positive reinforcement will help him to remember to poop more.
I remember waiting for my oldest nephew to do a poop so my sister and I could fly to Ohio from Texas. We were taking him to meet hi great grandma who was dying. This was back in 86 and he was 5 mo old. There was a lot of dancing when he did. Lol.
Dart is giving us a very intense stare.
He thinks our fingers are mealworms!
Now that is funny!
He fixates on them. Once he bit Ellis finger when she held a freeze dried mealworm between her fingers. Vision is not keen.
I think it is the placement of the eyes. I will feed the Fox squirrels a triple peanut (sometimes there are some in the bag) as I can hold it between my fingers and not worry about a “mis-bite”. Squirrels have bad vision too, due to the placement of their eyes.
Have a great weekend, Esther!
Thank you! Hope you had a great weekend too.
both Dart & the quote are hilarious! I hope you had a semblance of a weekend though – a bit of rest, family time, 1st Sunday of Lent ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! Dart is happy to make his appearances on my blog here and there.
We had a restful and mostly a boring weekend. lol. It was nice to rest and just putter around the house.
As for Lent, kids and I were listening to K-Love, Christian radio station, and callers called in to talk about what they were giving up for Lent and the meaning that held for them. I decided then and there to give up playing computer games for Lent. Instead of wasting time there, I’ve been doing more productive things, like laundry. Kids love to hold me accountable for it!
How was your first Sunday of Lent?
It was a good celebration in church. I am following Lenten reflections on Hallow; it is challenging for me to turn my thoughts to repentance.
I hear you on restful and boring. Sometimes we really need those days! Hope this week is going well for you all.
I hope the reflections on Hallow are going well. I understand it’s difficult to focus on repentance; instead, I’m focusing on the goodness of God and how he saved me, a wretched sinner. At our church’s Bible study groups, we’re reading a book called “Experiencing God,” and it’s a wonderful read about having a personal relationship with God.
We’re having a mellow week… thankful for this break!!
