Such fun! I’m part of a group of five women who celebrate on birthdays — except we adding a sixth ‘birthday’ to increase the fun. This month, we’re holding a birthday celebration for one woman’s horse!
I love the extra “sixth birthday”! Meeting for birthdays is not enough when you are with good friends and you want to increase the hanging out time together.
Have fun at the horse’s birthday party!! What a lucky horse. Our friends have pets too…maybe this is an idea to incorporate for our group. All of our kids get along too and our husbands are college friends.
How special and you have some photos through the years on top of it. That’s really a gift to one another to gather like that for birthdays.
We used to just meet for birthdays, but it’s not enough time. So sometimes we meet “just because” but that’s getting hard to do with everyone’s busy schedules.
I look back at those photos and I see how much younger we were.
It’s nice to still get together in person. I have a couple of friends on Facebook that I graduated high school with. I “discovered” them when I joined Facebook because FB’s algorithms match you up with others from your hometown and/or high school. So I joined FB 15 years ago. Sometimes, maybe once a year, one of us will send a message, then tag the other and we get into some topic and begin reminiscing back to our high school days, now 50+ years ago.
I forgot to add that I’ve not seen either of these women since high school graduation night (06/13/1973). One lives in New York; the other in North Carolina and I’ve not been to any of the high school reunions.
