This climbing move by Dart has never been seen except for this evening! We had no idea he had this kind of agility to climb these faux hanging leaves, but here he is proving us wrong. Both pictures taken by Elliot.

He’s on a mission to climb out of his enclosure or explore the jungle of leaves that he’s never been able to reach. He’s small but full of funny moves and antics.

Excellent capture the Dart both pictures by Elliot. I Like. Nice climbing the Dart on the jungle of leaves.
He’s looking for an escape
That’s what I see
I see the same thing too! But if he does get out, he’ll just wander around and get into trouble by getting stuck in a small space, or worse, get smooshed under something heavy. ack!!!
🥺
Atleast freedom from EEE
You go, Dart!!
Thank you, Auntie Liz!
That looks like great exercise for you Darling Dart! Are you training to be an olympian? ❤️🦎
Working on my biceps and quads! Thank you, Auntie TD. Maybe I do have potential for a climbing sport in my gecko future.
The texture on the wall behind him mimics his bumpy skin. He’s so dexterous!
Since the weather is warming up, I think he’s becoming more active. We were worried about him over the winter because he’d just sleep all day and be inactive for long periods of time.
Yes, he’s camouflaging with the wall. If he got out, I wonder what he’d do?
I didn’t know Dart’s enclosure was that large – I thought it was more like a 10-gallon fish tank/terrarium. Go Dart!
Dart lives in a 20 gallon fish tank. This was the first time we saw him do this agile move! Kids actually think he lives in a cramped space and that the tank should be 30 gallons. I said “no.” We couldn’t find him and where would we put the tank??
I guess I thought it was your former tropical fish tank. That’s a big habitat having a 20-gallon tank. A 30-gallon tank would be way too big to find a place to put it. Dart was working off his mealworms so he stays slim.
