My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!
Well, that was the style back then so I guess I was comparing it to now. All girls wore headbands too back then and white socks with Mary Janes shoes … yes, it was neat and clean though!
Lol…I thought it was a koi at first. I’m so glad my blogger friends, Liz and Linda, brought it to my attention that it was a catfish. Isn’t it huge? It kept following us.

That is one ugly koi. I thought it might be a catfish.
Really? I had no idea. You may be right!! There were other koi in that fountain.
That fish sure is big Esther. I wouldn’t want to feed it. It has some characteristics of a cat fish.
I think you’re right! Liz pointed that out too. Lol
🙂 They have those whiskers ….
You’re right! I guess I saw what I wanted to see. lol
Well, that is okay too. Here is the picture of not-very-cute me and one of the Seven Dwarfs:

What do you mean “not-very-cute”? Those are adorable pictures and your outfit is so stylish, colorful, and neat.

It’s super cute! I can see that style being worn right now too.
Especially the crop top look that’s so popular.
I wish they weren’t so crop though!! Can you just use a little more fabric to the bottom of the tops for middle aged moms??
Yes, no skin showing would work for me too!
What it is?
It’s a catfish! It was in a fountain with koi fish, so I assumed it was a koi. lol.
I guess that catfish is big my friend, Esther. She is hungry too.

Koi means? Thanks, Eshter!
They are beautiful fish from Japan and you usually find them in Japanese gardens. Here’s a link about them: https://www.thesprucepets.com/koi-fish-species-profile-5183977
Thank you so much, Esther! I can visit this link.
