sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

So interesting to see what happens with the silkworms life cycle. 🙂

We’re learning as we go but the life cycle is happening quicker than I anticipated. It’s been about a month since we got the little larvae. Happy to share the journey with you. 🙂

I often open the window at night to let cool air in and the moths flock in. I feel sorry for them as they get so confused about artificial light. Makes me think about how electricity can be really at odds with nature!

True…these bugs must get confused with electricity. We have crickets in a plastic box for our gecko, and they sometimes escape when we briefly open the lid to get one for our gecko. Today I just released over 15 beetles that metamorphosed from mealworms. Geesh, I just realized we are raising 3 kinds of bugs in our home.

Since the fall, we don’t live in harmony with nature, because Satan rules the world and tries to make us control everything, all due to pride. The world is utterly corrupted by greed, and we are stuck in the battle. The best thing you can do is love those animals with your whole heart. Be kind to them.

Isn’t it wild how quickly they laid eggs?!

        I don’t know?

    They sure do multiply quickly!

They sure do! I don’t know what to do with the eggs and just left them there. They turned grey in 2 days, so I scraped those eggs off the bottom of the plastic bin. 50-60 moths will hatch soon and we’ll have lots more eggs to deal with. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into at first. :0
