sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Over the weekend, Ellis and I went to the mall to window shop at leisure while Elliot was away at a church camp for a few days. We had the liberty of going to handbag shops without grumpy Elliot telling us how much he hates shopping. So when I saw this tiny leather green purse, I instantly gravitated towards it. Ellis thought it was cute too and reached out to hold it. I knew this was the moment to take a picture of her holding this tiny gem.

Here is the picture of her holding the purse. Lol. That purse was too tiny to be useful for an adult, but it is pretty to look at or have in your purse collection.

Love both those tiny purses! The green one and the moon and stars. Handbags are fun! 🤩

Well you won’t get a sore shoulder from lugging too much stuff around, that’s for sure!

Lol, that’s a great point, Linda!! Didn’t think of it like that. But seriously, that purse is kind of impractical.

Yes, way too small. I was lugging a lot in my purse for years, plus a “bus bag” tote bag, which I put the purse in eventually when the bus line got smaller buses and I had to hold my bag on my lap and wrinkle my clothes in the process. I rarely take a purse now, just my fanny pack, if I go out. My mother would say “what woman goes out of the house with no purse?”

Taking public transportation is like that…lots to lug around! I remember the winters used to the worst when it came to having too much to carry on the bus or train in nyc. I lost a lot of scarves and umbrellas!

Oh yes I lost a few umbrellas that’s for sure and with public transportation in Winter, you had to dress extra warmly since you might have a long wait for the bus, then you get on the bus, which was usually late, loads of people, you had to STAND and were hot in all your extra clothes. You had to hold on with one hand and hold your stuff with the other hand – hope you could unzip/unbutton your coat if the driver stopped long enough. Thankful those days are over for both of us!

The green leather purse is certainly a great size for Ellis! Her expression is cuter than the bag though. Esther, did you purchase this little prize? 🤔

Thank you, TD! Ellis made that face because she wanted me to take that picture and be done with posing for me. I can’t help it; I see something mini and I think it’s perfect size for her.
No, we didn’t end up getting the bag Just admired it. Very expensive…I think it was around $300 or $400 at the Coach store.

Thank you! The mini purses that are in stores are so cute…but I don’t know how practical they are.

Ellis was none too pleased with me asking her to hold the purse! lol. Nowadays mini bags are in fashion and when I see them, I always want Ellis to hold one to see how it looks on her.
