Dart sheds again but it’s stuck too tight this time

The shed on Dart’s fingers and toes was inseparable from his new skin, which you could tell by him constantly tugging at it with his mouth and nothing coming off. Elliot peeled them off, sometimes resorting to holding him down so he doesn’t pinch the tiny limbs. Dart was understandably mad and scared, so he did what a gecko could do to show his displeasure: pee on Elliot’s hand. But he ultimately pulled off all the shed. If it stays on for too long, it could restrict blood flow to his fingers and toes and cause them to fall off.

    There’s so much to learn about these little creatures. I wonder why Dart had a hard time with this shed. Do you know if this is a common occurence. Having a helper around sure did help!
