Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts, prayers, concerns, and encouragements! It’s been heck of a ride with another bout of cyclic vomiting, which has a debilitating effect on Ellis. Her symptoms started brewing Saturday night, but we were able to avoid a full-blown episode till Wednesday. She developed a cough too and assumed it was pneumonia since she was exposed to it by both Elliot and myself.
But that was not the case, as shown in 3 chest x rays and a couple of swabs testing for various viruses. All clear in the lungs.
Ellis shed many tears in the hospital with all this complicated heart talk, barrage of doctors and nurses, needle pokes, and wanting to come home. Last night, she got really worked up when Chris and Elliot visited us. She was feeling well enough to go home, but doctors said discharge was on Monday.
We hung out in the garden and decided to greet them at the garden when they came to visit us. She was talkative when we were hanging out in the garden, but she started to look strained half an hour after they arrived.
We quickly got back to our room where she complained of a headache and curled up in a fetal position on the bed. She suddenly spiked a 102.5 fever, and we all stood there aghast that this may turn into a longer hospital admission.
Another swab and chest x- ray, and everything was clear. So Tylenol to the rescue and her fever came down in about an hour.
More visits to the heart clinic coming up in the near future… during those 5 days, Ellis also had an overnight stay in the ICU for a sinus node pause and desaturations in her sleep. Yep, we are exhausted from all the daily drama, but now we are home; safe, comfortable, and content.
I don’t know where the next heart journey will take us, and the worries for that I’ll have to sweep aside for now. But we trust God’s mysterious timing will be perfect again as we put one foot in front of the other. Ack!! But still praising the Lord for sustaining us.

Thank you, Raj! Yes, it was a wonderful time outside with the family. But I kind of overdid it and stayed out too long. Ellis didn’t want to leave and go back to the room, but you could see that she was getting really tired. My girl is high maintenance!

Thank you, Linda! Ellis was so jazzed to be outside and to greet Chris and Elliot at the garden. This was the first time we did that. But I think staying out there for longer than usual and taking a walk around the garden wore her out.
As close as your family is and even being with you all the time she is in the hospital, feeling well enough to go outside and see Chris and Elliot was a big boost. I can see that after being bedridden and not eating for so many days.
