A blast from the past! Very cool find! 😎
That’s a great sentence! Can I use that as my post title? I’ll edit and repost.
Of course! I certainly didn’t invent the sentence 😆🥰
I just changed it! It fits the photo perfectly.
Thanks for the 💡
Sure thing 👍😁
I am old enough to remember these, only ours were in red and didn’t have a chair inside the booth. Woe is anyone standing in line to use the phone when someone could sit on a chair and talk for a while, provided they had enough dimes. 🙂 It’s probably a quarter now for three minutes. Mom always had me carry dimes in my wallet, four of them taped onto a thin piece of cardboard in the photo compartment in case the car broke down, or some other calamity, including a “date gone bad” (not that there were very many of those, good or bad) … the extra dimes were in case I dropped one and then couldn’t make the call in an era long ago!
Oh the memories this post brought back!
Tell me about it! This used to be how we made public phone calls with a chunk of change or if you were unlucky, you’d have to call the operator and make a collect call. lol That was eons ago, it seems.
