My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Very nice!
Thank you!! Big day for Ellis.
You’re welcome! Her presentation went well?
Yes, her presentation went well! She got scores of high 90s from all 3 evaluators, and she got a gold seal on her certificate. Scores were marked off on the table setting for having an extra cup and utensils and some questions about cross contamination. We were so focused on baking the brownies correctly that we didn’t review those areas beforehand.
Brother and dad came to support her when it was the awards time and she one happy kid. Afterwards, we conked out!
Thank you for asking…
WOW!! Please give my congratulations to Ellis.
🤗🙂🤩🙌🏼
I didn’t realize the brownies went with an adorable table display with “The Penderwicks” theme/tie in! That is So Adorable 🥰 ❤️😍🤩⭐️
Thank you! It took a month to get everything organized, come up with a menu, learn how to bake, and memorize the recipe. Her presentation was for 3 evaluators. She got gold for her age group and we are super proud of her! She and I conked out after that day.
It was a lesson in perseverance. She cried the night before and on the morning of the day from anxiety. Therapy has really helped with managing the jitters and having talked about it beforehand with someone other than me.
I’ll have Ellis read your comment… she’ll be so happy!
I’m really glad to hear that you were connected to such an awesome anxiety therapist, Esther!
Congratulations to both of you for getting to the event and making it through the entire presentation!!
The table setting is absolutely precious and I can smell the sweetness of the brownies all the way to Texas. 🐰🐰
Congratulations to Ellis🙏🏻👏👏👏
Good for Ellis on this presentation and her certificate!
Thank you! It’s boosted her confidence, and now she wants to start baking cakes. Oh yikes… that’s a lot of calories.
I’ll let her know. Thank you for your encouragement.
You’re welcome … well, Ellis could try cupcakes first, as a stepping stone, then freeze some of them.
Congratulations, Ellis! 💚 Your plate setting looks wonderful—such a great way to showcase your skills! 😊 Mama, such a special moment. Cherish every bit of it!
