My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!
It was pretty easy to make but the granola crumbled afterwards! We baked it and then put it in the fridge afterwards too so that it will harden. This means we have to tweak
the recipe to make the granola less crumbly. Another experiment ensues…
I like it in my yogurt too! I used to get the Target brand chocolate granola from Target, but it felt so unhealthy that I stopped buying them.
We have to tweak this recipe and make it taste better. We got the brownies down though!
That’s great you have perfected the brownies! I used to use different cereals too as they were crunchy. Grape Nuts was one of them, but then when I got a crown on a back tooth I decided I would not tempt fate by crunching on the Grape Nuts nuggets.
Oh no, don’t tempt fate or your dental health with those nuggets. It’s just not worth it. When I was in college, I used to love rice krispies and when chewing on a piece, it pulled out my crown. Oh my goodness, the ensuing pain from that was horrendous. I had to get another root canal and get that sealed with a new crown.
Brownies are down! Ellis baked almond flour chocolate chip cookies, but it didn’t have the right taste. We’ll try again.
Oh no – that’s horrible and sounds painful! The Rice Krispie Treats? They are good but gooey. I don’t eat anything that I worry about messing up the crown, no matter how good it looks … a sign of getting older! Well that’s a bummer. Your kitchen must smell nice though from the cookies!

I wouldn’t mind some of that for breakfast!
It’s good for breakfast or for a snack when you’re out and about! We need to further experiment for better consistency.
My mother used to make homemade granola. I always liked it.
This is my first time making it and it tasted pretty good! We need to tweak it so that it doesn’t crumble easily.
My mother’s was all crumbs and very tasty.
Sounds tasty!!
It was–healthy, too!
That’s a magic recipe!
😊
I like granola in my yoghurt – now I think I’m going to get some and try it again for old time’s sake.
