My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!
Thank you! He’s doing so much better now. In the beginning, it seemed kind of hopeless since he didn’t like to be petted. Now he is easy to pick up and he lays on our chest or lap without wiggling. That’s big progress!
Thank you! He brings us a lot of joy and cute cuddles. We wanted a cuddle pet for so long and now we finally have one. He gets cuddled way more than he would prefer. lol
Ellis just learned how to flip Teddy over. This is an essential skill for showmanship, so she was really excited. Teddy cooperates most times, but both kids don’t have full control. yet. We trimmed Teddy’s nails last night, and it was a 3 person job. I trimmed, Elliot held, and Ellis was the flashlight person. Poor bunny was making sounds and breathing quickly. We still did it without drawing any blood!
Well, that is good … Ellis is on the way to showing Teddy then in December if she keeps progressing with the skills needed. Oh poor Teddy, but no blood is good and I’m sure as time goes on, he’ll be fine with it. Can you give him a treat afterward so he associates something not so fun, with a reward afterward?

Great – Teddy and Ellis are a great duo! Those chubby cheeks (on Teddy that is). 🙂
