My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Sweet! Who did the showing in front of the judges? I would love to hear more about what they judge on and which rabbit won what. Were there prizes for the rabbit? Like hay or treats? Or were there prizes for the rabbitโ€™s show person? Like trophies or money gifts? Iโ€™m sure Orange Dreamsycle Teddy would have won my heart. โค๏ธ

Hi Hi! Sorry for the late reply. There was no showmanship at yesterday’s show. It was just a show for Teddy to be judged along with other Holland Lops. Teddy just turned a senior on June 4th, so he had to be entered into the senior class. He was the youngest in his class with 9 rabbits, including Teddy. He got 4th place in two judging shows.
I think you only get ribbons if you get first or second. ๐Ÿ™
Kids need to learn more about rabbits and handling before they enter showmanship. Maybe December Ellis will do a showmanship, which is the next show.
Teddy’s crown is too small, body not substantial, and shoulders too narrow. He’s still growing so he needs more growing. lol
Thank you for your encouragement and support!!

Very nice – Teddy isn’t showing off his tat though. ๐Ÿ™‚ Teddy needs a middle name with an “E” in it.

He should show off his new tattoo! I think Teddy will decline another tattoo…first time was too traumatizing. lol

I don’t blame him – no one should be lifting his ears up except judges and his family members anyway!

True! He doesn’t like his ears touched that much, but he has a dry spot on top of his ears that come and go. I wanted to rub Vaseline on it, but he’ll lick it off and that’s unhealthy for him.

I imagine his ears are heavy as they hang down, so maybe they are sensitive so he doesn’t like them being touched.

When we talk to him, sometimes his ears will twitch. It’s adorable.

He looks sweet in every pose that you post. ๐Ÿ™‚

Awww, thank you! Teddy says thank you. He’s a ham because he will boop my camera when I bring it out.

Ha ha – that is so funny. He enjoys posing for you. What a sweetie he is! ๐Ÿ™‚

He is very sweet! When we hears the treat box or ziplock bag, he is quick to approach the front of the cage. He got so excited last week that he almost jumped out of the cage when the top lid was up.

Such a lovely capture! Did they enjoy the event? How did Teddy feel about being with is friends?

There is a lady who takes portraits of pets and kids for a small fee. It’s a fun way to pass the time and to keep a record of time passing.
I don’t think Teddy had any opinions about meeting a new friend. They looked at each other and sniffed, then went right back to eating their own food in their cages.
I think Teddy was stressed at the judging table, because he pooped more than usual and wouldn’t sit still when the judge was checking his head, body shape, and fur. He did much better at the second round of judging.
