The horror, the horror . . . 😱😱😱
Hahahah, it was overwhelming to see! I just mentioned to another blogger friend how interesting it’d be to taste test the flavors. Yiu need a strong stomach for that task.
I will definitely pass on flavored spam. Spam-flavored Spam is bad enough.
Did you happen to take that photo in Hawaii? When I visited the Spam museum in Minnesota, I learned that the per capita consumption of Spam in that state is highest as anywhere in the country — perhaps even the world — partly because of the presence of WWII troops there. They ate a lot of it during the war!
Oh my goodness…i had no idea there was a Spam museum in Minnesota! That’s a hoot. Thank for sharing the information. My family is going to love that info.
This picture is not from Hawaii but in San Jose this weekend. I had no idea this many varieties were available. Can you imagine having a taste test of each flavor. Lol. Get the pepto Bismol ready…
Wow – that is a lot of SPAM … I didn’t know they made it in that many varieties!
Neither did I! This was something new to see at the local Korean market.
Wow, now that is something. I was thinking more like Costco.
Hawaii! That explains Dad’s obsession with Spam. He was stationed there when in the Navy. Sister and I choked down a lot of this stuff as kids. If Mom said she was fixing Spam for supper, we would run down the street to Grandma’s to see what she was cooking for supper. Sometimes we got to eat with her and Grandpa.
I will say it beats out Dad’s other favorite meal – liver and onions. Gag, gag, gag.
Oh my, livers and onions!! Not the faint hearted to eat.
Spam is popular for Koreans too. This picture was taken this weekend at a Korean market on northern California. This was the widest variety I’ve seen here.
Spam is popular in Hawaii too. When I checked the prices at the tourist ABC stores, they were $8 a can!
I have been tempted to try Spam when we’ve been to Hawaii but haven’t yet. I’ll have to go back to try it.
Spam may be available at your local grocery store too…u don’t have to wait to go back to Hawaii!
Thanks! I’ll have to look for it.
We’ve always liked the regular Spam and have it quite often, either in sandwiches or instead of bacon with our eggs and breakfast. Don’t want to try different flavors, though. haha 🙂
