My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

According to Merriam-Webster, brusque means “blunt in manner or speech often to the point of ungracious harshness.” Going through my pictures I couldn’t find anything that reflected brusque except one that involved Teddy and a bunny toy that squeaks while making hopping movements. He was not impressed at all and then booped it hard with his nose to make it fall over…then he abruptly turned around.

Teddy is a bunny that doesn’t like to share the spotlight!

Oh yes, he’s a ham and attention seeker! He has a show coming up in early march, and we’ll how he places this time. He has competition from a well-built and older Holland Lop buck, and he wins a lot of shows. His name is Bronco. We call him “Bronco the Beast” for fun at home He’s Teddy’s rival. Teddy is still young so his bone structure is not fully developed. According to judges, he needs more mass and a bigger crown. There ‘s a costume contest and the theme is “circus.” Ellis wants to dress him up as a lion and Elliot wants him wearing a tuxedo (all available on Amazon!). Teddy wants nothing and just wants to go in his natural fur.

I don’t blame Teddy for preferring his natural fur!

We see a darker color on top of his body. Kids say that it looks like butterfly wings. It’s a mystery how it just appeared one day. Maybe fur coloring can change as they get older? I’m just so happy that he’s not in his shedding stage right now but its coming with warmer weather. By the way, Teddy will be an uncle soon. Our friend’s doe is pregnant and will give birth to a litter next month!

Will you be adopting any of the baby bunnies?

I wish!! I need to convince Chris if we’re serious about it. My concern is not having adequate space for 2 rabbits in cages. Teddy is not free roam 100%. If 2 bucks are in a larger cage together, they will fight for dominance and that can get dangerous. And if we get a doe, well, you know we’ll be outnumbered by baby bunnies. For show rabbits, they can’t be spayed or neutered or they will be disqualified. If we get a pet quality rabbit, then we could neuter it. But the space issue persists!

Interesting that show rabbits can’t be spayed or neutered.

Drama with animals, either domestic or wild, always amazes me. Teddy was jealous. I guess you’d better hide that rabbit for its own sake!

    No fooling him.
