My mom just got discharged from the hospital yesterday, which was her third admission since June. She has masses in her bladder that needs removing and now the doctors just found out that the left and right arteries needed stents. So last Monday she went in for an emergency cath and got a stent placed in her right side, but its calcification took the cardiologist longer than usual. And the ultrasound showed that she had a kidney stone that needs removing.
Right now, it’s all a timing scenario. She will have another operation to work on her left artery and be on blood thinners for a month before she can undergo the operation for the bladder mass removal. The kidney stone hasn’t been brought up yet. It’s been an onslaught of phone calls for me to translate at any time of day. I’m trying to stay positive and seeing this as a challenge to test my patience! And my mom is so impatient with wanting the bladder surgery soon, because she has to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes or less and thst disrupts her sleeping and quality of life.
This waiting is a safety protocol so that she can take her blood thinners for a month before any operations.
Thankfully, Ellis is well and no emergencies on this home front. Writing this as kids are at their swimming lessons. Hope everyone is staying well and enjoying this summer!!
