Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

  1. That is a different flower – I am here on your blog site as WordPress Reader does not show a picture again. I was just at Andy’s post and had encountered the same problem.

    1. Hi Linda, thanks for pointing that out for me. WordPress is acting funky these days. I saw a post that had your profile picture and read the post. I was going to respond the next morning to it and then realized that it was someone else’s post. What is going on?! Maybe they’re having some kind of technical issues?

      1. Yes, it is acting funky and Andy Finnegan had the same issue with one of his posts – no image. Frustrating. Well that is even stranger – I’ve not had anyone say that happened. I don’t like that. I have so much SPAM – I was late getting here tonight as we had computer issues at work and did not check SPAM until later tonight – 56 SPAMS and 99% of them say the same thing.

    1. Thank you, Yvette! And the flowers on this post and the flower bunch on my header image is the subscription bouquet I mentioned last month.
I took your advice and put them in sugar water and daily removed soggy leaves. I couldn’t believe how well they held up. I have 3 remaining flowers. Think I know what happened when I added the sugar to the first bouquet: I didn’t dissolve. I dumped 2 tablespoons of it into the vase.
Thank you for sharing these tips! Now I can enjoy cut blooms longer than previous times!
