Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
How fun to take photos of the mama duck and the chick! Have a great week, Esther!

Thank you! It was fun for all of us to witness and see it in real life. We weren’t the only ones stopping to admire.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the mild weather. We have a wind advisory this weekend…hope it’s very uneventful and nothing wildfire-ish.

So sweet and they grow up so quickly, just like kids!

Perfectly said! This year we’ve been lucky to see lots of baby ducks and goslings.
Hope you are having a good start to a new week!

I am going to look for ducklings this weekend along the Detroit River shoreline. We are having a hot spell … it will be 90 Friday, Saturday and maybe Sunday. I don’t want to do the big yardwork project in that heat and will wait until Memorial Day when I have more time. I was lucky to find those goslings while they were still tiny … they are in my post today. They were so cute … now, 10 days later, they are on the wage to “teenagedom” and attitudes!

Oh my, it’s going to be hot in Detroit this weekend! I hope you spot ducklings on your outings before they enter their tweens and lose their cute fuzziness.
I’ll check out your post! I like your animal pictures.

Sorry for the tardiness – had a brutal week at work and lost our e-mail three days ago. We are going to Windows 10 now (after having the equipment here for two years) … I designated today to catch up in Reader (three or four days behind) around the storms and have just spent an hour + on the phone with the computer guy. It was hot and yesterday morning it rained so I didn’t go … I intended to go this morning – they said rain by 11:00 and now, they very well may be in their tweens!

No worries…I’m always behind on Reader and replying to comments. We seriously need to get an extra computer for Ellis and figure out how to move Elliot’s video game account to his computer. Getting my share of it is scarce.
The goslings must be tweens or well into their teenage stage. I wonder what differences there will be from gosling to teen.
Sorry to hear about losing the emails!! That’s horrible and to troubleshoot over the phone can be frustrating. I hope you were able to recover the lost emails and adjusting to the new program. The start is always hard to get used to it. You can do it!!

We are on Windows 10 desktops but still using the Windows 7 operating system due to complications with my boss laptop (mainly the computer guy still has it at his office, brought it in once when my boss pressed him for it, after ordering it in March 2019 and computer guy said he lost the power cord. So I’m waiting until I get acclimated to Office 365 (I don’t care for the e-mail) and then will use the Windows 10 laptop. I don’t care for it to be honest … the start is strange to me too. I’m getting set in my ways!!
