Monday. Seems today is full-on squabble day for the siblings. Once in a while this happens, which usually starts with some kind of misunderstanding. I’m subjected to a lot of their side effects: tears, eye rolls, “why does he/she do this? questions, “I can’t stand him/ her,” and the sighs.
“Don’t mess with anybody on a Monday. It’s a bad, bad day.”
― Louise Fitzhugh, Harriet the Spy
Monday madness is not only for adults but kids as well. God help us all! What’s reassuring is that God is here in our midst and cares about this mess. It’s not a life threatening situation but it’s highly annoying to deal with two grumpy children at odds about everything. Praying God turns this mood around and gives me a double portion of patience today, which means that I’ll be in patient-trying situations. *sigh* A positive thing is that I’ll see God’s hand working in my day in mysterious ways and exercise my creativity to improve interpersonal relations at home.

I hope you all are having a non-grumpy day and a good start to the week. Thank you everyone for stopping by and stay safe!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
Ooof. Hope you survived Monday! 🤪

Linda, I don’t know either. In the morning I start out weary thinking of all that needs to get done. Thinking about it just gets me wired…cook meals, clean, teach, take kids outside, lessons, write, etc. I pray a lot of emergency prayers and God is so good to guide me and fill in my weaknesses.
My eyes…ugh…gets strained and tired easily. Thinking about it gets me nervous and thinking the worst case scenario strikes fear in my heart. I have a follow up appt. this coming Monday. Must stay calm…must stay calm…

I keep you in my prayers Esther … I have a long prayer list – so many people are fighting illnesses right now in this COVID age, but these are not illnesses that are COVID related. Good luck tomorrow with the follow-up appointment. Ask him if using a magnifier of some type might put less strain on your eyes – does straining your eyes from reading, computer list do any damage? I’m thinking not, but worthwhile asking anyway.
