Mini succulent tree:

These plants have glossy, flat, oval shaped leaves on thick stems branching out in multiple directions. They’re known for its longevity and is possible to pass down to generations.
One of our neighbors has this tree/plant on their porch growing in a large, wooden-plant container. It must be hundred of pounds and 4 feet tall. It blooms delicate white flowers alongside green leafy pads.
“The planting of a tree, especially one of the long-living hardwood trees, is a gift which you can make to posterity at almost no cost and with almost no trouble, and if the tree takes root it will far outlive the visible effect of any of your other actions, good or evil.”
– George Orwell

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
I’ve had a jade plant back in the day and never had blooms on it and just in the last hour I commented on a South African’s bloggers picture of an aloe plant and it had beautiful reddish-orange blooms. I told Anne the same thing as I had one of those and had never seen it bloom.

I’m having some trouble with WordPress today Esther – here’s something for just you. Is Santa Rosa far from you? That’s one of the locations and I don’t think this was what you went to last year?

Santa Rosa is about a 2 hour drive from us. This dinosaur event is different from the one we went to last year. Kids loved the drive-thru experience last summer.
The Santa Rosa one is a walk-thru!! Thanks for sending info about these dino events.

That’s not too bad a drive for a special event, but I did see it was a walk-thru … (maybe too many people in a pandemic), unless you go in off hours. The drive-thru was a better idea, but I thought I’d pass along for you to think on.

We will definitely pencil that into our calendar. Thank you for the tip; if you find others happening in our town, please send away.

OK, that sounds good Esther … fun entertainment before the kids grow out of the dino phase. 🙂

Feel the same way you do. They’ve been huge dino fans for years and you can’t believe how much toys and books we have. I’m learning along with them…
