Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
I still have a dried flower I found in a book belonging to a great aunt. It’s amazing how long they can last.

That dried flower was in the perfect space all those years. I’m amazed too at their hardiness. When I have flowers from special occasions, I dry and keep them. My son dried the top of strawberries between parchment paper and they have a lovely scent still.
Linda, which flower did you find?

I’m really not sure. It looked rather like a carnation but was much smaller, so I think it might have been a bachelor button or some such.

That’s lovely! Finding a surprise like that in a book is special. I should do that too. You never know who will find it one day.
