Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

  1. Beautiful photos!
Completely switching topics, have you read the book, “the call of the wild and free” by Ainsley Arment? I just borrowed it from the library and I can hardly put it down. It is so encouraging to me.
Here’s a little snippet that I just read:

You will doubt yourself on more than one occasion. You will be misunderstood by friends and strangers alike. You will make mistakes. You will let your children down. You will let yourself down. You will grow in character. You will learn alongside your child. You will learn to walk by faith. You will love them. And you will witness beauty, growth, and miracles. (Pg 96)
    I hope you’re having a great week!

    1. How did you know I needed to hear those encouraging words today?! It’s one of those days where I feel I’ve let myself down and the whole homeschooling schedule shuffle makes me want to pull out my hair.
I’ll check out that book. Sounds like a grear read. Thanks for recommending it and for sharing the snippet!!

      1. Slogging through this week. I thought this week was under control and then comes the schedule changes that puts things in disarray. When little people have to adjust to schedule changes, ohhhhh, that’s a horrible mix of whining and complaining to hear. I wouldn’t literally do it with my hair loss and all…but needing to make more schedule changes wanted me to tear out my hair.
Thanks for the sweet encouragement and ditto to you!

      1. Sorry to hear that. This week just hit like a hailstorm…could it be mid March exhaustion from homeschooling and season changing?! Don’t know. Hang tight, dear friend and let’s ride this one out too. You’re a fantastic and creative mama. Sending you hugs and more hugs.

  2. I like the quote and the idea of Spring around the corner is a welcome thought. Today we got to 73 (unusual and freaky for us) and tomorrow night we have a wintry mix coming in for Saturday. Mother Nature is on a tear is all I can say. That sky and the greening-up of everything. How nice!
