Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
Any, or all of those make me smile. Happy Monday!

Bookstores have so much to see and enjoy. Their toy section is almost a quarter of the store. We love it! lol
I thought the pig’s name was quite elegant! Never knew a pig with a biblical name.

I’m not on first name terms with many pigs, but happy to meet this one.

I’ll go for the teddy bear. I can’t say no to a teddy bear.

Same here! Isn’t that a cute teddy?
We have a plushie problem and continue to add to our collection with no end in sight. Yikes!

Our teddy bear collection went out of control a few years ago. Most of it is now in a storage bucket.

Glad to know that we’re not the only ones with an out-of-control teddy bear problem! There’s always something cuter and fluffier that we find. Must practice contentment with the plushies we have. But hard to do with 2 kiddos crazy about them.

I like she rises late and her kids make her breakfast. This is literally the number one reason I homeschool! 😂

I’m right there with you girl! It’s one of the perks of homeschooling.

Have you read the book? I just looked it up on Amazon. It looks good. I have a book problem. We have a moderate case of stuffie hoarding and a severe case of book hoarding around here. Stuffies are easier to pack than books though, much lighter and can be squished into odd shaped spaces! 😂

I haven’t read the book. This was the second time I saw the book there and now I’m wondering if I should read it. I have several in rotation right now, kind of, so it’d be nuts to get another one. Speaking of…I have a book coming tomorrow in the mail. Ack! I don’t have the time and here I am ordering books I don’t have time or the energy to read.
We have the same issue. As for plushies, they’re just too cute. And yep, we squish them up too and find surprises as I clean up and reorganize things.

I started following “storiedmotherhood” and they do a book club. I don’t know if I’ll participate, but it seems they have good book selections. Check it out!

Me, great titles?! Wow, thank you Linda. That means a lot coming from the wittiest title creator I know.

Well thank you back Esther! I do have some fun with my titles … wait til you see tomorrow’s and next Wednesday’s funny WW post titles. I looked at the Esther the pet pig book … it looked fun and was the sequel to how she became their pet. I recently read “The Art of Racing in the Rain” which was a story as if the dog wrote it. They also have a kid’s version of the book. I am going to watch the movie on Amazon Prime – I have a digital credit to use up before the 14th. It was good … a little different.

Ohhhhh, I’ll have to check that book out. Any books written by the perspective of a dog is interesting.
You did more about the pig book than I did. I thought it was so amusing that the pig’s name was Esther. We’re going back to B&N this week to pick up a book by Tim Tebow, so I’ll take another look at the pig book.
I look forward to this week’s title on your blog!

It is the second in the series … the first book is called “Esther the Wonder Pig” and t looked cute as well. There is a children’s book modeled after the adult book that is narrated by Enzo the Dog (same author: Garth Stein). I didn’t know Tim Tebow had a book – I do know he is religious and used to be mocked for his religion when he was still playing football. SMH about people sometimes.

Isn’t that a great name for a pig?! Lol.
The Tim Tebow book is good so far. It’s called “Mission Possible.” I didn’t know he was mocked for his faith, but we got interested because he was homeschooled and wanted to learn more about him.

Yes it is. 🙂 I didn’t know Tim Tebow was homeschooled. That is interesting. He was mocked because he dropped to his knees and said a prayer to God and thus other players, including the Detroit Lions who made idiots of themselves mocking him (which is why I was familiar with the story) and also Saturday Night Live did skits about it. I will put a story in another comment if you want to read about it – it happened awhile ago and I think he was a pro baseball player for a while as well.

Why does Christianity get so much hate and ridicule?! I read the article you sent and it was very good. I didn’t know about the Detroit Lions mocking him.
Tim Tebow started the Tim Tebow Law where homeschool student athletes can play in sports’ teams in public schools. https://www.sportscasting.com/how-the-tim-tebow-law-changed-everything-for-homeschooled-student-athletes/
Important legislation for homeschool athletes who want to compete and pursue a pro career.

That was very interesting Esther. I didn’t know Tim Tebow was homeschooled and I never would have known that homeschooled kids could compete at local schools … that is especially good if they are trying to get scholarships, or as the article says, a job as a pro, like when scouts come to high school football games. I commend him for doing this.
I don’t understand why Christianity gets so much ridicule, but then I have never understood why people feel the need to disparage other’s actions or beliefs … why do they feel they should make it their business? It has never made sense to me. People are cruel for no reason at all.
