Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
thanks for a nice smile with this chalk art – and hope your week is going well

Thank you Yvette! I’ll let Ellis know.
Week is all over the place, but I can’t complain. At least I’m in good health to take care of the sick child. God is good and merciful!

Very creative Ellis – I’d better get your autograph as you’ll be a famous artist one day … I just know it!

Oh Linda!! Ellis was all smiles when she read your comment. She refers to herself as an artist but she gets nervous to draw for fear of failing. I tell her it’s a process that will require lots of failures, erasing, and trying. We’re working on it.

Ellis will do wonderfully as an artist. There are lots of videos on YouTube for different mediums so that is a good start. After I wrote the post about Bob Ross (for the Happy Little 5K), I learned Bob Ross has videos there too. I think Ellis should cultivate her interest. When I was a teenager I took a free art class at the community center by my house. I really enjoyed it. It was just six or seven weeks long, but afterward I got some how-to-draw books. I did practice a bit, but then school in the Fall made me put it aside. I wrote a post about sketching – that is one thing I want to do when I retire and I’ve bought some art supplies so they are ready when I am ready.
