sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

First time seeing our community roses grow this lush and large

“The rose is a rose from the time it is a seed to the time it dies. Within it, at all times, it contains its whole potential. It seems to be constantly in the process of change: Yet at each state, at each moment, it is perfectly all right as it is.” – Paulo Coelho

Petal ruffles galore

This rose tree has been in our community for ages but this is the first time I’ve seen it this large!

Beautiful – all that rain was good for something, maybe not for your family, but contributed to beautiful blooms.

Never seen these roses bloom so large and fluffy looking! It’s like they’re on steroids. I’m not sure what changed in their growing condition to make them bloom this giant.

Maybe all that rain, though rain is not always good for roses – it gives them diseases, sometimes mildew or blackspot. I got it on my climbing rose. Every day out there with the rose spray and I finally took it and its climbing umbrella trellis down and out in the trash before it contaminated the other roses.
