My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!
Lunch date with Ellis’ best friend T.Making faces. I said “poop” and those are the faces I got.Must eat ice cream! Me and my bud. It was a busy week of meeting friends and kids loved it! You can imagine how excited we get to be out and do stuff like this. But it took a toll on Ellis. She got bronchitis. Feeling better but still coughing and hacking. Ack!
Sorry to hear that Esther … at least school is done for the year right? So Ellis can take it easy – no worries, tell her to recuperate by being in “Summer Mode”. 🙂
We are in “summer mode” for sure!! She had her follow-up appointment today and her lungs sound great. I almost didn’t take her to the doctor last week thinking it was a common cold, but she told me that she needed to go and see the doctor. I was proud of her for saying that to me and knowing her body well enough to make that decision.
That is good that Ellis does know when to alarm you or just kind of “shake it off” as nothing … I think she doesn’t want to unnecessary worry the rest of the family. See what turning double digits does to a person? 🙂

Look at those smiles! Every one of the photos is wonderful.
Thank you, Linda! We were so pleased to be out and mingling. 🙂
Sounds like a fun time for all!
