My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!
Meet Turbo, who likes to play with fabric, kids, and boxes in the sewing teacher’s workshop! He was found by our teacher as a tiny kitten and bottle fed. Yesterday, he got neutered that morning, but he was not going to wear his cone or have a mellow afternoon when kids were around to shower attention on him.
It was a treat to play with a cat! Next week we’ll be babysitting a bunny for a friend.
They’re still working on their pajama pants and will sew it next time. In the last lesson they used a pattern to cut the fabric.

I’ll bet Turbo was happy to escape the Cone of Shame.
He was more than happy to be free of it!
🙂
Sometimes a little extra attention makes you forget the pain of the day.
Turbo was loving the attention and you couldn’t tell that he just had surgery.
