Both of these are from my container planters! In the first planter, Ellis propagated the top half of the succulent since the original one was getting too long and wobbly. You can see she potted the individual leaves to see if they will root.

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Both of these are from my container planters! In the first planter, Ellis propagated the top half of the succulent since the original one was getting too long and wobbly. You can see she potted the individual leaves to see if they will root.

Be sure and let us know if the leaves do root eventually.
We will! I hope we don’t fall into our bad habit of pulling on the leaves before they are rooted or just about to root. Ahhhhh, so curious to see how it’s going and then we mess up the whole thing by pulling on it.
Good experiment, Ellis, on trying the single leaf! Will hope you will keep us posted.
Are these outdoor containers or indoor? And do you add a root stimulant or just water?
Thank you, TD! We’ve tried these experiments before, but unfortunately we have a bad habit of pulling on them to see if they have rooted. This disrupts the growing process, and we will be mindful of this tendency for this one.
This is an outdoor container. We found this succulent in December 2022 in a muddy grass area and we replanted it in our container. I’ve read that honey is a good root stimulant. This leaf and a couple of others were just repotted and watered.
We will keep you posted if anything new develops!
Very pretty!
Thank you, Liz!
You’re welcome, Esther!

Thank you, Raj! We do hope it roots and it grows more leaves.

Yay – for the green thumbs!
I may be slowing turning into a green thumb for succulents, pothos, aloes, and zz?! Thank you, Linda. I know you’ve been reading about my gardening journey for years.
Well, I admire you on your journey – I have never been good with houseplants of any kind.
Thank you, Linda!
What a beautiful plant!
Thank you!
You’re very welcome!
