sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

I found this pretty flower after my haircut on Friday evening. It was long overdue and I couldn’t get my hair to behave after trimming my hair at home since January. I decided to do something completely different: keep the chin length (not go any shorter like my usual short bob) and get bangs, which is something I haven’t had since college!

I’m not used to it yet but why not? It’s time for a new look, short term. If I can’t get used to it I’ll give myself a few months and be back to my old hair. lol. Update on the bangs: They’re hard to style, so it’s lovingly pinned down until I feel the motivation to get out my round brush and blow dry it.

Thank you, Cee, for hosting while your arm is recovering and thanks to Chris for typing!

Dear readers, hope you all have a wonderful weekend and please know that I appreciate you all. ~Esther

I have been cutting my hair since COVID and it looks like it. 🙂 I liked having bangs but they always stuck straight out and looked odd. Change looks good on you.

Thank you, Linda! I felt like trying something new and why not? I have had the same hair for years, but the bangs are not doing anything for me right now. They’re pinned down. lol
I think you would feel so refreshed after a professional cut and shampoo! Once you get it cut at the salon, it’s easier to touch up with home cuts. I hope you get to go soon!

I kept saying I’d go after I got my last COVID booster. My hair is long, but Jill had put long layers in it and highlighted it as well. The layers have grown out as have the highlights, although some are near the bottom. She did a great job on highlights, but the last year I went to her (2018-1019) she said my hair needed lowlights and added dark brown to the mix … it looked awful as she made the highlights blonde … it did not look natural and looked like a tiger and I told her that the last time I was there. I really like her a lot, but was not keen on what she did, but yes, I would love to get a good layered cut again. I like bangs, but they don’t like me and I ended up growing them out.

    Fun 🤩
I’ve never tried bangs. I feel like they are very brave! I certainly need a haircut.

They’re not doing much for me right now though with it pinned against the side of my head. lol. I wanted some dimension in my hair and to hide the thinning in the front part of my head.
I hope you can make time to get a haircut! I held off for seven months and couldn’t take it anymore.
