My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

I like that scale – thanks for sharing
I’m glad you like it! It’s a helpful scale to use when you don’t have words to describe one’s pain level.
my cousin was here and he hurt his foot about a month ago…
I showed him the chart and he said it helped him to see that some pain can be mild or moderate – hmmmm
I’m so glad that you showed the chart to your cousin and that he found it helpful! There are many shades of pain that is hard to articulate but those faces seem to do a good job of conveying pain intensity.
🙂
This chart is absolutely great. Every room at the doctor’s office should be required to have one of these. I’m going to share it with my PA when I see her in three weeks. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
Isn’t it so helpful to have it in a visual chart? It’s especially great for children when they don’t have the words to express how they feel but know which face to point to in describing their pain. Ellis usually tells me how she’s feeling with a thumbs up, down, or up and down in between. When she’s sick, she refuses to talk and that’s all she can muster.
I’m glad you found it helpful!! I hope you are well and your visit with the PA is productive and helpful.
Hopefully a 10 is never a criteria any of us deal with.
Tell me about it!! I hope never for any of us.
Ah yes, I’ve seen this chart. I like the faces.
