Update: I write this post, and doctor came in. We’re going to the ER. She wants Elliot admitted. Oh dear Lord!!
Wow, it’s been a busy start to the week. Elliot came down with flu-like symptoms Tuesday night, and it became full blown yesterday. He’s got a fever, chills, throw up, headache, fatigue, and cough. He’s been miserable!
We’re sitting in the exam room waiting for the doctor right now. He got swabbed for Covid and the flu. His covid test at home came out negative.
I’ve never seen him this sick, and his whole face and neck are splotchy from broken blood vessels. The straining from his throw up caused the petechiae. He looked like a raccoon right after it happened. Now, he’s just miserable, exhausted, and quiet. I hope some medication can help him. 😫

Oh no. Sorry to hear Elliot is feeling miserable. I hope the doctor is quick to give him some relief.
Ohhh
Please take care
Best wishes
Praying you keep well to weather this time. Sending you a big hug!
Oh for goodness sake – your family can’t catch a break. At least it’s not COVID … fingers crossed for a quick trip back home.
You’re exactly right…it’s too much. When does that break come?! It was an overnight stay but I’ve been caretaking nonstop. With the fever and all the coughing, we have him isolated in the living room and Ellis in the other bedroom. So it’s extra work to cater to him and do the breathing treatment, check temp, administer medication on schedule, refill water jug, make meals, extra encouragement, 5 a.m, wake up for antibiotics. Yowza! It’s kind of nuts.
Well I am glad it was just a one-night stay but all the aftercare – you might as well still be in the hospital and snoozing in a chair, on standby for when Eliot wakes up and looks for you. Ask the doctor when you see him next about tonsils and if having them will help – maybe not for the bronchial issues, but for bad sore throats, strep throat, etc. Good thing Ellis is isolated to avoid getting sick – I hope you and Chris don’t get sick either. Get some rest and drink your orange juice Esther! Or see if Vitamin C tablets will help as cold and flu season come into play. I used to take 1,000 mg of Vitamin C a day to ward off colds so I wouldn’t give them to my mom, because her mobility was not good to go out in Winter months – she once had walking pneumonia in the Winter from a bad cold I brought home from work and it was icy and she couldn’t see a doctor and he would not prescribe an antibiotic without seeing her in person. But I cut down on the Vitamin C after not working on site and just have it in a multiple vitamin now, but I always take my cod liver oil capsules, ever since I was a little kid (cod liver malt then – ugh).
That’s a smart move to take cod liver oil! It doesn’t sound like the most palatable thing, but if it keeps you healthy don’t stop taking it. I’ve been worried too about getting sick and have been eating and drinking tea instead of coffee. I also started going outside to take walks to get some fresh air and exercise. Health feels so tenuous these days!! God is keeping us all together.
I swear by cod liver oil capsules. The malt I took as a kid was awful. It was thicker than honey, kind of thick and gooey and I got a spoonful every morning. They no longer sell the cod liver oil capsules in my grocery store or CVS, but I was recommended this brand by a health food store. They don’t taste fishy in the least – they say they are lemon flavored. I get them from Amazon. I will send the link in a separate comment. Also, I’ve been meaning to mention to you, that I finally got on the green tea bandwagon and stuck with it. I actually enjoy it, just one cup a day, but I did read somewhere to have it without food. For now I have it with food so I don’t forget to drink it. Eat healthy and get good sleep and stay healthy – you have a lot on your plate. School can be pushed aside for another week when everyone’s head is clear again.
Well, OMG – the price is $42.00 for 300 capsules! Well, they are Norwegian and supposedly the best for getting Omega 3s. The last time I ordered them, they were $31.92. And you take two gels capsules daily.

Oh no! Poor kiddos! Sending prayers and hugs! Hang in there friend. May God bless you and keep you. 🙏
God is good even in the midst of these trials! But it sure is scary to have faith tested.
Oh no. Hugs to you all.
Thank you! Crazy week.
🙏♥️🙏 big prayers — please look into detox options if your family has taken any covid injections — they were experimental and lots of studies now showing side effects. Please see the World Council for Health recommendations— https://worldcouncilforhealth.org/?s=Detox+from+spike+protein+ (it is quite unusual for kids to be getting flus and vomiting this frequently). Sambucus is available at WakMart and health stores (Zinc Vit C and elderberry) and is excellent to offset spike protein in the system)
Walmart not WakMart 😱
So sorry Elliot is not feeling well. Hope all is being taken care of and he feels better soon. <3
Thank you!
Oh man! Lifting you all, particularly Elliot in prayer.
P/S how is Ellis post-MRI? How did she cope with the long procedure?
And how are you Mama? Too many things …
Thank you! We’re all on the mend from different things, but it’s taking a while. I had no idea that both kids would be hospitalized all in one week. I’m running on adrenaline!
Oh no! Tack Care my dear friend, Esther 🙏 I will be sending kiddos my prayers and hugs! Hang in there friend. May God bless you and keep you.
