Hope everyone had a great Halloween and safe night! What did you dress up as?
My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween and safe night! What did you dress up as?

Very cute 🥰
I’m glad the three of you had a great Hallooween!
Very clever – prize-winning costumes definitely!
Thank you! We were in a rush to get something and Ellis decided on the corn on the cob. Then Elliot said they could match.
Very cute, especially since it was last minute.
We went to Target to buy costumes, and the selection was sparse. Ellis was really taken with the corn on the cob costume. Elliot wanted to be Bob Ross, but the costume was $50 for a beard, wig, and a paint pallet, so he said he’d be the corny duo with Ellis. My costume was from 2 years ago.
You guys looked cute and the backdrop was nice for a family photo, well almost family as Chris took the photo (I’m guessing). That’s a lot of money for a costume of Bob Ross, especially when there is no clothing in the costume, just props. Yikes!
I thought the Bob Ross costume was overpriced just for the props. I’m glad the corn on the cob costume worked out though! I don’t know what to do with all the costumes we’ve been getting over the years. Last year I was an inflatable dinosaur for a church event and a hotdog for our block party.
I remember the inflatable dinosaur – you had a photo on your blog I believe. The Bob Ross costume seems so ridiculously overpriced, so next year, get the props and wig and beard and just use a pair of jeans and a chambray shirt. Ellis can go as the finished painting. She can paint the picture! Or use an old painting or go and buy a cheap painting and take the frame off. Make it like a sandwich board and cardboard in the back and straps to slip over the head so Ellis doesn’t have to hold onto it the entire time.
Oh yes, that was a silly one. I’m not sure what happened to it but it began to deflate at our neighborhood’s block party. I might have a tear in it somewhere.
Ha ha – you need some Gorilla Glue. 🙂
So cute 🥰
Thanks, friend!
