My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I’m so happy you are here. I’m an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature’s beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child’s heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you’ll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you’ll find some interesting posts to read!
Thank you! Teddy has been relaxing and hanging out with the family but a little naughty. He’s never had a chewing problem until this weekend. He’s been picking up a wire with his mouth and tossing it around over his head. H,=mmm, I tell him he’s better than that but he doesn’t seem to care. lol
Hope you are having a great weekend 🙂
He says “I’m not a baby anymore Mom, I’ll do as I please!” Well, make him toe the line Esther! It is cold here! We had a frost advisory last night and a freeze advisory tonight – it is going to 23 overnight! We had that very warm weather (low 80s) all last week and all the flowers and blossoming trees popped out, so not good if this is a killing frost. I went out today to get some pics of the Spring flowers for a post in late May – I’m a month ahead on my posts. I figured I had better go get some colorful shots in case they get zapped.
Our weather is unbelievably wacky – last Wednesday, we had an EF-1 tornado in my City, 95 mph. The City is only five miles square and the tornado was on the other side, 2 1/2 miles away. It was pretty scary with the tornado sirens going off for 45 minutes and I was downstairs for an hour ’til they stopped. I feel very blessed to be unscathed.
Your weather is very moody and wild!! The flowers are probably exasperated with all the changes. We had heavy rain for a few days and now it’s back to being sunny but cool.
As I’m typing, Teddy is drinking water from his water bowl and now sitting patiently for us to open his cage door. He comes out for at least an hour a day and multiple times comes out in the arms of the kids. When he sits there staring off into space, I wonder what he thinks about. 🤔
Yes, it is really too much these days – like a rollercoaster for sure. Teddy sure appreciates the cuddling and is glad he has so many different arms to hold him. I’ll bet he is thinking when school is over for the year, there will be more hours of playtime and interaction with the family.

Thanks, Teddy! Nice hat.
Thank you! That was Ellis’ doing. It is his basket toy turned upside down on his head.
So cute. Hope you have a great weekend too. 😊
Thank you! Hope you are having a great weekend as well.
