Hello everyone,
I will be taking a short break from blogging. School year is at the final stretch and we are up to our ears with homework, projects, and tests. Even though we’re homeschooling and it seems the schedule should be lighter, high school curriculum is demanding and this mama is working overtime and helping Ellis with her lessons.
She is getting her crochet animals ready to present to 4-H judges this Saturday and kids will finish their last baking class for this semester this Sunday by baking a cake.

The E-trio got sick with another cold after Easter Sunday and we are finally on the mend. It’s been crazy how sick we’ve been and still managing to keep going. God is good!
So I’ll post pictures here and there, but I will not be consistent with reading your blog posts!! I apologize for the lack of keeping up with your posts and adventures. Take care and I’ll be back with a fresher mind soon!

Thank you for the update, Esther! Family comes first.
Thsnk you for understanding! The guilt of not reading and commenting was having a negative effect on me. But the kind and encouraging comments made me feel so much better and understood. I got a great community here!!
May the force be with you as you finish up the school year! 💫
We’ll keep you in our prayers! 🙏
Thank you friend! Amen. It’s been a wild one and the classes are demanding with assignments. I’m glad we homeschool because being in school would be so tough on the whole family. At least we get our flexibility! Hope your semester is going well and the wrap up is going smoothly!!
All good Esther. Take care and see you when we see you!
Thank you for understanding! I needed to take some time to get our homeschooling in order and finish off this semester well. Thankfully, we’ve been finding pockets of time to chill out and not feeling overwhelmed. We’ll go out for Elliot’s belated birthday dinner this Sunday and tomorrow is Ellis’ showing of her crochet animals to 4-H judges. Gotta have fun too!! Hope you are staying well.
Sounds good Esther! Good luck to all three of you with schoolwork/exams and the 4-H projects. In the meantime, you can turn over the rest of the heavy lifting in the house to Chris. 🙂 Don’t tell him I said that please. Cute chicken – I’ve never held a chicken before!
Thank you for understanding! The guilt of not keeping up with the blogging and reading was killing me. I had to take a step back. This week we had our monthly hkneschool meeting with the teacher and elliot is slotted to take geometry, chemistry, English, music, and entrepreneurship classes. This summer we’re doing a concentrated class with me on world history for a full year credit in 6 weeks. It kind of freaked me out with all the work we have to do.
Yep, no worries. C. will have to help me because I cannot do it alone. Lol.
I’ve never held a chicken before either…learned that you need to hold them around the wings so they don’t flap. The wing flaps are loud and chaotic!
I don’t know how you do it Esther and Elliot’s classes are difficult – wow! You know when I was in high school, our school millage did not pass two years in a row, so we only went to school for four hours a day for my sophomore and junior years. For senior year, we were back to full days and could have extracurricular activities like band, chorale, sports, drama, etc. again. Then we could take college prep classes which we couldn’t do before, so suddenly there was geometry and chemistry … I did not do well in those subjects and I just did not “get” algebra or geometry and thought there is no reason I will ever use these classes in my life and I have not thus far! World history in six weeks sounds rough as well. I know Chris is in your corner to help you. I didn’t know wing flaps are loud … I’ve only seen them sedately strutting around … so far. Good luck!
No apology necessary, Esther. I will enjoy you posts whenever they pop up. Take whatever time you need for your family and you well-being. 😉
Thank you for understanding! It’s been a wild month and now it’s wrap up time for the semester. Cannot believe the school year is coming to a close.
