Oh no! Poor thing!

It had a limp once it waddled out of the water. We went to the wildlife rehabilitation center to tell them about this duckling, but their policy prohibit them from getting the animals. It would be our task to bring the duckling to the center. So I called dispatch and they told me that it had to be captured first. ack! So the duckling remains at the pond. It’s behind a fenced area and I can’t imagine myself or Chris jumping it to capture the duckling and come unscathed from its parents.

Oh no! That’s so sad and you certainly can’t capture it yourselves. Hopefully it’s just a little minor injury that will heal on its own. 💕

I hope it heals on its own! I was worried that it might get abandoned by its family, but they are still together. It can swim well but when it waddles towards land, it has a limp.
