sing like wildflowers

My full and kooky life as a homeschooling mommy to 2 great kids, raising a child with HLHS (Hypolastic Left Heart Syndrome), coping with depression, following Jesus, and being much too camera happy.

Oh, my! Hospitals are such wonderful places, and yet they can appear so terrifyingly complex! Tell your patient that there are people she’s never met who are praying for her — and who think she’s quite pretty, too!

Hospitals are gifts!! Transitioning to a new hospital and getting used to it have been challenging: we followed the surgeon here from Stanford.
Thank you for your sweet words and prayers! Ellis gave me another smile when I read her your comment.
We’ve been blessed so much throughout this experience and discover our strength in times when it feels small.
      Thank you again Linfa!!

Thanks friend!! I like the sound of that…”tough girls.”

I’m quite behind in Reader, so my apologies. I’m glad Ellis and you have left this behind and I hope Ellis is progressing nicely.

Thanks Linda!! I’m so glad to be home and in our own space. Nothing like this comfort…no matter the piles of laundry or the mess I see around me. I wish I could keep up that attitude most of the time, but yep, I get disillusioned quick too. So is this fickle life!

I look around me sometimes and wonder how things could be so cluttered and out of place and messy. You and Ellis were “sprung” and returned home – it doesn’t matter as to the mess as it will keep (that’s my mantra; of course I don’t invite anyone over here either). 🙂

I feel the same way. I clean up before bed so the next day could start with a clean slate. Well, some snacks and activities, and the whole place is a disaster.
If anyone comes over, it’s on our patio since Covid, so no one has to see the dust or what not. I’m learning that decluttering is a constant process…not a time one thing. I declutter and a few days later, it’s the same thing. I wonder where to throw away clothes that cannot be donated. Knowing where to responsibly dispose would make it easier to declutter. ack! who got the time?!

At least you can use the excuse that there are four people, including two kids, making a mess – who can I blame, but myself? I often wonder how my parents and a bird lived here?
