Monterey Bay Aquarium fish tank view

This picture took a few tries to get. I came back to this spot a few times so I could take a picture without any visitors in the background. I’m pretty happy with the result!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!

    1. Thank you Liz! It’s peaceful to sit on one of the benches and admire the kelp forest with the pretty sea creatures. This is a heavy foot traffic area but I was determined to take a full frontal picture of just the tank. lol.
Hope you have a great start to the weekend. 🙂

  1. Very cool picture and place as well. I wonder why we didn’t visit it when I was on the California coast tour back in October 1980 – perhaps it was not built yet. I remember Monterey Bay was beautiful.

    1. The aquarium opened in 1984!
Monterey Bay is beautiful and it’s got that old town feel to it. I’d love to go back and check out some historic sites. We got the yearly membership so we’ll be returning soon. We’re big aquarium and fans…even before kids.

      1. Oh, that is why then. I would have liked to visit. That’s great you liked aquariums, even before the kids. What I remember about Monterey was how beautiful it was.

      2. I did enjoy that trip, but it would have to be if Covid goes away … I’d be a Nervous Nellie otherwise. I only had three travel places on my bucket list: France, Italy and Alaska. And I would love to see the New England foliage. That’s it.
