Welcome to my blog! My name is Esther and I'm so happy you are here. I'm an avid nature photographer and a daydreaming thinker. My posts revolve around photos of nature's beauty, homeschooling adventures with my 2 kids, sporadic reflections on my child's heart condition, Bible reading reflections, gardening feats, and other mish mash things. Hopefully you'll leave encouraged, pensive, or smiling at the simple things of life. Thank you for stopping by and hope you'll find some interesting posts to read!
both pics nice but that silhouette one is really special 🙂

Thank you Yvette! I mentioned in my comment to Linda that it was taken at Balboa Park in San Diego. The fountain was close to the natural history museum. Have you been there?
The only thing my kids remember from that picture is that they saw the biggest cockroach by the fountain.

This is very nice Esther. Like Yvette, I like the fountain picture – the silhouette and the coloring is perfect. The second picture is fun.

Linda, thank you! The fountain picture was taken in San Diego a few years back and it’s one of my favorites. Kids were not so cooperative during that picture but I was determined.
The second one is a silly screen shot that my sister in law took during a zoom call.
Hope you had a good weekend and the temperature there is not like it was for us this past weekend. Now it’s dipped to the low 80s this coming week. What in the world is up with our climate?!

I really liked it … it says a lot with no words. I wondered if you took a selfie of all of you – well that works too. I have no recent pics of me on my blog as I live alone and always walk alone. I walked a few times with a friend but when she left the City and moved, we rarely get together now. Her husband is older and she walks very early in the morning, so she is home before he gets up. The climate change is so bizarre. These storms on Sunday brought in refreshing cool air. It was so hot and muggy and like you we’ve gone down in temps – this morning it was in the 40s when I set out. So I went down to the River and was glad I took a jacket as it was cold and windy there. I’m not complaining. That very hot weather was not fun for walking.

I also have the same picture of me and the kids at the same fountain. Can you imagine all the complaining I heard from my 2 peeps from the photo shoot?!
You should take a selfie and post it; you visit many pretty parks and that would be a great opportunity for a selfie. If it feels awkward, don’t let that stop you. Would love to see your pic!! Rah-rah…

I don’t know if I can’t take it with a digital compact and maybe standing in front of a window would work. Yes, I can imagine the peeps complaining – another picture, aw Mom/Esther.

You can take a selfie standing in front of a mirror or take one by pointing the camera to you. The latter one is a hit or miss but you can angle yourself in the right position by looking at the pics. hahahah, I didn’t mean to pressure you. It was a friendly suggestion.
Yup, the complaining is ongoing. In some ways they complain to express their approval. It’s a weird thing.
