Things are beginning to look up, finally! The situation didn’t look too hopeful at 7 a.m. when Ellis was complaining of nausea again and abdominal pain.
Suddenly, things took a positive turn with her sitting up and talking. There were lots of tears from both of us with fear of the unknown when the cardiologist came to discuss heart health issues. It’s something we’ll need to follow up with this summer. Sigh…
But for now, positive news! Ellis is having a few bites of pancake. I hope and pray this is the recovery phase of the episode.
Maybe we’ll have a family reunion tonight as Chris comes back home from chaperoning 4-H camp as Elliot attended his first summer camp for 4 1/2 days. I don’t know about the timing since they left 30 min before Ellis got sick. Timing felt off, but we still continued with doing our things: Chris to 4-H camp with Elliot and me to the hospital with Ellis. I texted Chris to tell him we were at the er until 11 p.m. on Sunday. His one word response in text: “what?”
Chris will probably tell Elliot what went down at home on their drive back later this afternoon.
Hoping to go home soon!
Thank you, everyone, for your words of encouragement and prayers! I appreciate you all. Esther

I’ve been praying for Ellis every day and will continue to do so. God bless.
Thank you, Steven!! We appreciate your prayers. God was so good to us even in the midst of our storm and gave me peace when it was a wild storm.
Let Ellis feel much better soon, and for you to get some rest, also. <3
Thank you, Barbara!! So relieved and grateful to be home. We have a lot of recovering to do…what a wild month of medical emergencies with my eyes and then Ellis’ cyclic vomiting.
Pancakes can cure a lot of ills; I’m glad Ellis is having a few bites. I’m also glad Elliott had a chance to go to camp, too. I’m sure he’ll have plenty of stories to tell! The hospital flowers are gorgeous, but I’m sure you’ll be glad to get home and enjoy the landscape there. We’re all hoping you get home sooner rather than later.
Thank you, Linda!! Pancakes seem to always make her feel better when she is in the hospital. Pancakes and chicken noodle soup. When she asks for bacon, that’s a positive sign for an upswing in her condition.
The hospital landscapes are beautiful and they take wonderful care of them. So glad to be home and enjoying just resting up in the comfort of our own space.
I’m so glad that it’s looking like she’s on the upswing! 😅
Totally unrelated… I randomly got this book at a thrift store… reading it tonight… it features silkworms so I immediately thought of you and your silkworms. Your kiddos might enjoy the book!

Thank you for sharing the book with us!! Our silkworms have become moths and laid eggs. They laid a lot of eggs while we were out of the house last week and they turned yellow. I’m not sure how viable they will be for next March. So we are just saving the new ones and have put them in ziploc bags and are put in the fridge. Chris gave me that weird look when I put them away!! lol
❤️🙌🏼✝️🌸🤗 praying
Thank you!! Prayers have helped us so much and gave us the strength to persevere when it felt dark and scary.
We are all rallying around you and Ellis!
Thank you!! So appreciate it
We all know you do Esther.
I can always pray for Ellie & family. God is great! Trust in God! God given life & living life. God always in heart’. I’m also glad Elliott had a chance to go to camp, too. Beautiful you sharing flowers. I like.
Tack Care, Esther!
