Kids and I tagged along with Chris to Sausalito while he had his networking session. We dropped him off and walked around Sausalito boardwalk, but then I got too hungry and we had to hurriedly seek out a place to eat dinner. I had too much coffee and not enough food, so I was feeling jittery.
On our way to Sausalito, we made a quick stop at the vista point for Golden Gate Bridge and a young lady who was with her two friends offered to take our pictures. This was great since my new selfie stick was not connecting with Bluetooth. I’m grateful she took this photo for us!

Sausalito is a small town in Marin County with a coastal, cottage feel. They had cute coffee shops, art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. I was hoping to visit the houseboats that are popular to view in this town, but we didn’t have enough time to explore. Here are some sights we did see!
Has anyone else visited Sausalito, and do you have any recommendations on what to do next time we visit?

Beautiful selfie. Wonderful telephone booth.
Thank you, Raj! It was a fun outing to explore a new town albeit it was for a short time.
Where’s the place.? Beautiful photography. Wonderful place . I Like. Yummy food dish.
Thank you, Raj. It’s a town past the Golden Gate Bridge in SF. The food was delicious and I was surprised at how much clams they included in the pasta dish. Fun times with the family!
Most welcome, Esther! You enjoyed Fun time with family. Beautiful Golden Gate Bridge 🌉. I like it’s place.
The best breakfast in town is at the Lighthouse Café. I generally pass on pancakes, but the times I’ve been there I’ve been unable to resist their huge, thin, blueberry or banana walnut productions. They’ve been around for a while. My first visit was in 1993, give or take a year.
Nice!! ☀️🤗❤️
Thank you!
What fun!
Thank you! It was a great family outing…short but sweet.
It’s always such a nice surprise when a stranger offers to take a family photo.
It was a wonderful surprise and I was so grateful for it! And when I looked at the photos, there was only us in the pictures. No other visitors there.
Even better!
Thank you for allowing us to tag along with you on your outing. I love the family portrait! It is the first time I’ve seen your whole family together – lovely.
Visited Sausalito decades ago on a family vacation as a teenager so my memories have faded. Your captures bring back some familiarity but everything looks brighter and cleaner!
You’re welcome! And thank you so much for your comment. It’s true that we don’t have a lot of family pictures with the 4 of us on my blog; it’s very far and few in between.
I’m glad that it brought memories back to you! It is such a lovely little town and walking around to enjoy the art galleries and touring the houseboats would have been a treat.
That’s a very scenic background behind some very photogenic people. 🙂
Hahah, thank you! We had a great photographer…I don’t know who she was, but she just popped out of nowhere and took our picture for us. I’m glad my selfie stick decided to act up.
That’s good – you were lucky at such a scenic spot to find a nice person and bonus *one who could take a picture too* – wink, wink.
I was so thankful! When people take photos, you never know what you’re going to get. I offer to take pictures of people often and do my best to make them look good.
I know – I have not had my picture taken in ages – at least the 15 years I’ve been alone and probably long before that.
I think it would be great if you took a photo of yourself!! Selfies are easy.
I meant to add that I liked the quaintness of the town as well as the scenery.
This town is quaint and colorful! I would have enjoyed spending more time there. Many of the shops were closed and we were there at 6 p.m.
I mostly remember the little bay or area with the boats and the restaurant which jutted out into it … I don’t think we went into town, like we did in Carmel.
There are so many cute towns…don’t need to go far but just need to explore more.
Yes, exploring near you is good. Lots of places along the Highway 101 – is it repaired and looking better after the wildfires? It looked so devastating.
